Palworld v1.0.5 — Texture Rendering + Map Filter Fixes (September 15, 2026)
Palworld v1.0.5 is a small hotfix shipped September 15, 2026. Fixes reduced-resolution texture loading that hit some players and a map icon filter bug where filters reset after respawn. Full details and who's affected.
Last updated: 2026-09-15
Released September 15, 2026 on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation 5, one week after the substantial v1.0.4 patch. This is a minor hotfix, not a content drop — two targeted bug fixes, no new missions, no balance changes.
The two fixes
Fix 1: Reduced-resolution textures loading for some players. Since 1.0 launch, a subset of players reported terrain, buildings, and other world textures loading at noticeably lower resolution than they should — as if the game was permanently stuck in a lower streaming quality tier regardless of graphics settings. If you play at High/Ultra and noticed rock faces, building walls, or ground textures looking oddly muddy compared to launch trailers, this fix is aimed at you. Verify by fast-traveling to a base you know well; textures should now match your graphics preset.
Fix 2: Map icon filters unintentionally disabled after respawn. The map screen's icon filters (pals, resources, waypoints, teleport statues, etc.) could silently reset to "off" after the player respawned. If you'd been playing and noticed your map suddenly looked emptier than usual after a death, this was why. Filters now persist across respawn correctly.
Who this affects
- Anyone whose textures felt off since 1.0 or since a recent driver update — patch now, quality should restore automatically
- Anyone who died and later couldn't find their base marker — the fix is the map, not you; if you'd manually re-enabled the filter each time, that workaround is no longer needed
- Nobody in terms of gameplay balance — this is purely a stability/QoL hotfix. Meta unchanged; no need to revisit team comps or breeding plans.
Everything else
That's the entire patch. No new missions, no balance adjustments, no new Pals, no economy changes. On console this appears as a small mid-1.0 build increment; on PC it deploys as a standard Steam auto-update.
