Palworld: Palfarm — What Pocketpair's Farming-Sim Spinoff Is Actually About

Palworld: Palfarm is a cozy farming and lifestyle sim from Pocketpair set in the Palworld universe, launching on Steam in 2026. What's confirmed, what isn't, and how it fits alongside PC 1.0 and Palworld Online.

Palworld: Palfarm is a cozy farming and lifestyle simulator from Pocketpair set in the Palworld universe. It uses the same Pals from mainline Palworld, but the gameplay loop is farming, crafting, cooking, and base-building — closer to Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon than to the survival-shooter formula of Palworld 1.0.

Two-line summary: Palfarm is a separate game, developed by Pocketpair themselves (not licensed out like Palworld Online). Steam-first, 2026 release, multiplayer supported. Your PC 1.0 save doesn't transfer — it's a new game with familiar Pals.

What's confirmed

  • Developer: Pocketpair directly (unlike Palworld Online, which Garena is building under license).
  • Platform: Steam confirmed. No Xbox / PlayStation / mobile version announced. Xbox Game Pass is a plausible addition — Pocketpair took the same Steam-first-then-Game-Pass path with mainline Palworld — but nothing is confirmed there (CGMagazine).
  • Release window: 2026, no specific date. Pocketpair hasn't committed to a quarter.
  • Genre: farming and lifestyle sim. Cozy-genre framing, not survival (Shacknews, Vice).
  • Multiplayer: fully playable in co-op multiplayer. Pocketpair hasn't detailed the scale (2-4 friends? larger?) but it's a co-op-first design, not solo-only.
  • Pal integration: uses the established Pal-abilities system for a farming context — Pals help with crafting, mining, cooking, and building on the farm. Same Pals you know from mainline; different jobs.
  • Roster: no indication whether Palfarm launches with the full 1.0 Paldeck (287 Pals) or a curated subset appropriate for a farming setting.

What isn't confirmed yet

  • Release date — no specific day or quarter announced.
  • Console versions — Steam-first only for now. Xbox and PlayStation are open questions.
  • Xbox Game Pass — plausible given Pocketpair's history but not confirmed.
  • Price / business model — Pocketpair has been vocal that mainline Palworld will stay free of subscription requirements post-1.0, which suggests Palfarm will follow a standard buy-once model rather than a subscription or F2P route. But nothing on price yet.
  • Whether farming has combat elements — cozy-sim framing suggests no, but Pal abilities include combat-relevant skills, so how the two overlap is TBD.
  • Cross-buy / cross-progress with mainline Palworld — none announced. Almost certainly a separate purchase and separate save.

How Palfarm fits alongside mainline Palworld and Palworld Online

Pocketpair now has three Palworld-branded products in various stages:

Palworld 1.0 (mainline)Palworld Online (mobile)Palworld: Palfarm
DeveloperPocketpairGarena (licensed)Pocketpair
PlatformsPC, Xbox, PlayStationiOS, AndroidSteam (Xbox/PS TBD)
GenreSurvival + creature-collectionMMORPGCozy farming sim
MultiplayerUp to 32-player dedicated serversMMO shardCo-op (scale TBD)

Save carryoverNoNo

Practically: if you like the base-building and Pal-management sides of mainline Palworld but wish there was less shooting and more turnip harvesting, Palfarm is aimed directly at you. If you want the survival-shooter loop, stick with mainline. Nothing overlaps meaningfully — these are three products for three overlapping audiences.

Should mainline players care?

If you're the type of Palworld player who spent the most hours on base optimization, breeding chains, and cake-egg farms rather than raid-boss hunting, yes — Palfarm sounds built for you. The Complete Breeding Guide, Cake Egg Farm, and Best Base Locations pages on this site all cover the "farm-and-optimize" side of mainline Palworld that Palfarm is spinning into its own game.

If you're a combat-first player, Palfarm probably isn't your genre. That's fine — Pocketpair's post-1.0 roadmap for mainline still includes new bosses, weapons, and Pals throughout 2026, so the survival-shooter game isn't being neglected in favor of the spinoff.
