Palworld Beyond Dimensions & From the Far Side of the Moon Quest Guide (v1.0.4)
Complete walkthrough for Palworld v1.0.4's two-part sub-mission chain — Beyond Dimensions and From the Far Side of the Moon. Fisherman's Point NPC, Sealed Realm of Terraria dungeon, 100 Hallowed Bars for the Celestial Sigil, Moon Lord fight tips, and rewards.
Last updated: 2026-09-09
Palworld v1.0.4 (September 7, 2026) added a two-part sub-mission chain that takes you from Mount Obsidian into the Sealed Realm of Terraria and finishes with a Moon Lord boss fight. Both missions are Terraria crossover content — you can safely ignore them if you're mid-Main Mission, but the reward chain (Terraprisma Schematic, Celestial Sigil Master recipe) is worth the detour for endgame players.
This guide covers the full chain in one place because the two missions are connected — you can't do the second without completing the first, and both are short enough that splitting the guide would just fragment the walkthrough. See our v1.0.4 patch notes for the broader context on what the patch added.
Two-line summary: Accept "Beyond Dimensions" from the NPC at Fisherman's Point in Mount Obsidian (-480, -745), clear the Sealed Realm of Terraria dungeon (-420, -788) while collecting 100 Hallowed Bars, defeat the Eye of Cthulhu inside, then craft a Celestial Sigil and use it on a Summoning Altar to fight the Level 50 Moon Lord. Focus attacks on his eyes.
Quick facts
- Type: Sub-missions (not Main Mission gated)
- Recommended level: 50+
- Starting NPC: Fisherman's Point in Mount Obsidian at (-480, -745)
- Dungeon location: Sealed Realm of Terraria at (-420, -788)
- Key resource: 100× Hallowed Bars (dropped in the dungeon)
- Final boss: Moon Lord, Level 50 (Terraria crossover boss)
- Combined rewards: 35,490 EXP, 100,000 Gold, 1× Kinship Peach, 1× Terraprisma Schematic 2, unlocks Celestial Sigil (Master) recipe
Prerequisites
Both missions dropped in v1.0.4 (September 7, 2026), so make sure your game is updated.
- Heat-resistant armor — Mount Obsidian is the volcanic biome. Without heat protection you'll take environmental damage during travel and while doing the missions (Insider Gaming)
- An Ice-type Pal in your party — Ice hits Fire-type dungeon enemies super-effectively
- Level 50+ character and Pals — the Moon Lord is a Level 50 raid, and the dungeon enemies scale to your area
- Summoning Altar — you'll need one to summon the Moon Lord in the second mission. If you don't have one built, do that first (Ancient Technology tech tree, unlocked mid-game)
Step 1 — Accept "Beyond Dimensions" at Fisherman's Point
Head to Fisherman's Point in Mount Obsidian at coordinates (-480, -745). It's on the coast in the volcanic northwest region of Palpagos.
Speak to the NPC standing near the dock. He'll offer the Beyond Dimensions sub-mission — accept it, and open your Mission tab to activate tracking so the objective markers appear on your map.
Step 2 — Clear the Sealed Realm of Terraria dungeon
Travel to the Sealed Realm of Terraria at coordinates (-420, -788). It's a short trip from Fisherman's Point — fast-travel to the nearest waypoint and walk in.
Inside the dungeon:
- Enemies are strange slime Pals (Terraria crossover creatures) — most are Fire or Neutral, so Ice-type Pals hit hard
- Breakable pots line the corridors — smash them for extra loot along with the enemy drops
- The goal is collecting 100 Hallowed Bars — a new crafting material introduced in v1.0.4 that drops from dungeon enemies and pots
Priority: farm Hallowed Bars aggressively as you clear. You need exactly 100 for the next step, and running the dungeon a second time to gather more is painful. If you finish the dungeon short on Hallowed Bars, you'll have to grind more before you can craft the Celestial Sigil.
Step 3 — Defeat the Eye of Cthulhu at the dungeon's end
The dungeon ends in a boss fight against the Eye of Cthulhu, the classic Terraria mini-boss reimagined for Palworld.
Fight notes:
- Dark/Neutral element — bring Dragon-type Pals or Fighting-effective options for super-effective damage. The Type Chart has the full matrix
- Ranged combat is safer than melee — Eye of Cthulhu telegraphs its charges hard
- Standard boss patterns — dodge the charges, punish the recovery windows
On defeat, you get returned to the surface and receive the Eye of Cthulhu Mask (a cosmetic/stat helm), and Beyond Dimensions completes — automatically triggering From the Far Side of the Moon (GoodGamePass).
Step 4 — Craft the Celestial Sigil
With 100 Hallowed Bars in hand, craft a Celestial Sigil at your workbench. The recipe unlocks automatically once you complete Beyond Dimensions.
The Celestial Sigil is a one-use summon item — crafting it consumes the 100 Hallowed Bars, and using it consumes the sigil itself. If you want to fight the Moon Lord multiple times (or later attempt the Master version — see below), you need 100 more Hallowed Bars each time.
Step 5 — Summon and defeat the Moon Lord
Place the Celestial Sigil on a Summoning Altar and use it to spawn the Moon Lord — a Level 50 Terraria crossover raid boss.
Combat strategy (GoodGamePass):
- Focus attacks on the Moon Lord's eyes — they're the persistent high-yield damage targets. Ignore the body while eyes are open
- Ranged weapons preferred — melee gets punished by his AOE attacks
- Bring healing — Lyleen or Kingpaca-tier support Pals help sustain your damage dealers through the fight. See the Base Defense Guide for Lyleen's Partner Skill utility
- Level 50 raid tuning — this is meant to be beatable at Level 50 with a competent team, but you can also over-level it if you're endgame
The fight takes 3-8 minutes depending on team composition. Once he's dead, return to the client NPC at Fisherman's Point to complete both missions.
Rewards
Combined rewards from finishing the chain:
- 35,490 EXP — moderate boost for Level 50-60 characters
- 100,000 Gold Coin — real money in your pocket
- 1× Kinship Peach — condensation material for boosting a Pal's stats
- 1× Terraprisma Schematic 2 — schematic for a Terraprisma weapon variant
- Eye of Cthulhu Mask — cosmetic helm with modest stats (from the dungeon)
- Celestial Sigil (Master Level) recipe unlocks — the harder version of the Moon Lord fight, for players who want a real challenge
What unlocks after — Celestial Sigil (Master)
Finishing both missions permanently unlocks the Celestial Sigil (Master Level) recipe. Master Level Moon Lord is significantly harder than the Level 50 version — Pocketpair's phrasing is "an even tougher endgame summoning challenge."
Details on the Master Moon Lord are still being verified as the community works through it. Expect a tougher HP pool, additional attack patterns, and higher rewards. If you want to attempt it, you need another 100 Hallowed Bars per Sigil — plan a return trip to the Sealed Realm of Terraria dungeon.
Common mistakes
- Skipping the Ice-type Pal — you'll grind through the dungeon much slower, and Hallowed Bar collection becomes tedious
- Fighting Moon Lord without focusing eyes — his body takes reduced damage while the eyes are open. Ignoring them stretches the fight from 5 minutes to 15+
- Not building a Summoning Altar first — you can't spawn the Moon Lord without one. Build it before you head into the dungeon so you don't have to backtrack
- Doing the missions under Level 45 — you'll technically survive but the Moon Lord will out-damage you. 50+ recommended for a smooth fight
