Palworld's 9 element types each have their own combat rosters. Pick the element you're building a team around — or the one a boss is weak to — and see the data-derived S/A/B/C ranking by base attack.
How these rankings work
We rank every pal of a given type by base attack (HP and defense break ties), then bucket into tiers: S = top 10%, A = next 20%, B = next 30%, C = the rest. Pals with two types (e.g., Jormuntide Ignis is Water and Dragon) appear on both element pages — because they get the type bonus from either matchup. Cross-reference matchups
Picking by element is half the puzzle. The other half is which type the enemy is weak to. The full strength/weakness matrix lives on the Type Chart. And once you've picked a fighter, the Damage Calculator will sanity-check your loadout against a specific boss.
