v0.4.11 — Feybreak Update
Released December 23, 2024. The first major content drop since the Sakurajima DLC, adding a fresh region, a new weapon archetype, and pushing the level ceiling higher.
What's new
- Feybreak Island — a mysterious new region with glowing sand, dungeons, and a new tower boss.
- Feybreak Warriors — humanoid enemies with new attack patterns. Harder to capture than syndicate enforcers.
- Meowmere — a "bullet-firing melee weapon," the first weapon in the game to blend ranged and melee mechanics. (This is a thematic precursor to the Terraria collab that landed in v0.6.0.)
- Level cap 50 → 60 — ten more levels of stat progression, new tech unlocks, and a real reason to grind beyond what was previously endgame.
Meta shift
The new level cap matters more than it looks
Existing Lv 50 raid teams are now functionally a tier below. Condensed 4★ Pals at Lv 60 outdamage 4★ Pals at Lv 50 by roughly 18% raw — see the Stat Planner to compare loadouts. If you were sitting at "max level," you're not anymore.
Meowmere changes player DPS profile
Hybrid range+melee weapons cover the "I want to fight up close but the boss has a 360° AOE" gap. The Meowmere isn't broken, but it shifts the tier list's combat sections by making player damage matter more relative to Pal damage in some bossing scenarios.
Feybreak Island = new resource frontier
If you've been farming the same ore nodes since launch, Feybreak Island offers new resource clusters. Worth scouting locations before committing your next base build — see the Ore Farm guide for picking spots.
Recommended adaptation
- Push your current core team to Lv 60 before re-evaluating compositions.
- Try the Meowmere in raid loadouts where you previously relied on a sniper rifle.
- Save endgame scouting until you've cleared Feybreak's tower boss — its drops feed the next tech tier.
